Canadians STRIKE FORCE from Montreal, Quebec, and their hitherto (officially) unreleased second album are making waves. "Made To Rock" boasts nine typical mid-eighties anthems, reminiscent of both (early) VIRGIN STEELE and (catchy) FATES WARNING. It's US metal with cool melodies and an exceptional singer (Miguel Garcia), though the production could have been a touch better. The songs were written shortly before the band's breakup in 1988 and have languished in archives for far too long. A highlight is the superb "Thunder."

Singer Christy Black is atypical for a glam metal singer, avoiding the squeaky and raspy high-pitched vocals that were the signature of groups like Cinderella. He has wide vocal range, with a smoothness to his voice closer to something like Rob Halford from Judas Priest.
