Something of a departure. I've always loved the feeling of Christmas, despite not being tied to a faith. I also know that goes against the nihilistic image of metal music. But, I always enjoy listening to the swing era classics during December.
To balance things out, and because most metal holiday songs tend to either be overly faithful, or downright cheesy, I wanted to take some of my favourite hymns and give them a full deconstruction and a bit more of a serious treatment. There are elements of the original melodies you may recognise, but these are not the hymns you remember. Hopefully you'll enjoy them.
