Eddie Cochran - The EP Collection (1989) (FLAC)

Look at the title - it's an EP Collection, not a greatest-hits collection, or a best-of retrospective. That means that it is not comprehensive, nor should it be seen as an introduction, since it doesn't contain all of Eddie Cochran's great songs.

After all, not only does it lack nifty obscurities like "Cut Across Shorty," it doesn't have such monumental efforts as "Somethin' Else," one of the greatest rock & roll songs ever recorded. So, this shouldn't be seen as a way to pick up the hits, but rather a way for collectors to pick up a handful of songs that are hard to find on other collections -- and, in that respect, it works pretty well. It still would have been better if it had the hits, plus the rarities, but it's a pretty fun listen as it is.
