Before landing on the name most collectors now use, this band operated as The Legend — "Dragonfly" stuck around more as an after-the-fact nickname than an actual rebrand. Colorado was always home base, but the group kept shuttling out to Los Angeles whenever there was recording or releasing to be done. The roster: Jack Duncan holding down bass, Barry Davis on drums and harmonies, Gerry Jimerfield out front on guitar and lead vocals, Randy Russ adding guitar and harmonies of his own, and Erni McElwaine rounding things out on keyboards.
